Beach Volleyball women take first win
Team BC vs Team Saskatchewan

Team BC Summary
Team BC's women's volleyball had a strong opening game with a win over Team Saskatchewan at Sargent Park in Winnipeg.

Darby Dunn (Langley) and Quinci Birker (Kelowna) started out strong with a 5-0 lead and never let up winning comfortably 21-7 in the first game.  They continued to play well in the second game with a 21-10 score earning them the 2 sets to zero victory.

Athlete Quote
Name: Dunn, Darby (Langley)
Context: Comparing conditions here and in China where they recently competed at the U21 World Championships
Quote: "In China it was 40 degrees with 90% humidity and we played the home team, China, in the very first game of the tournament. So, that really prepared us for playing here". "We also got to train with teams like Brazil and Russia, which was great."
