Legacy Project

Since 2011, Team BC has initiated a project focused on social responsibility and engaged Team BC athletes, coaches, families, and partners.  Realizing the tremendous contribution that every host community makes to plan and stage the Games, it is a goal of Team BC to give back to the community and leave a valuable and meaningful legacy.

2019 Canada Winter Games

Team BC’s 2019 project is in conjunction with the 2019 Canada Games Host Society Mitts for Many project. The Mitts for Many project encourages Canada Games athletes and attendees to donate a new or gently used pair of mittens or gloves for those less fortunate in Red Deer. Team BC will collect donations at the first and second week Pep Rallies and deliver the mitts to the Gary W. Harris Plaza.
