Following Day 2 of athletics competition at Timberlea Park Team BC athletes earned four gold, three silver and three bronze medals to add to their incredible Day 1 total.
After 10 events Rostam Turner racked 7113 points to take the title in men's decathlon, while team mate Cale Hernandez finished third. Turner was the top athlete in nine of 10 events including clocking in 4:45.09 in the final event, the 1500m.
In the men's 110m hurdles Jackson Cheung topped the podium in 14.96 ahead of Alberta's Alexander Charlesworth (15.27). Andrew DeGroot took gold in the 400m in 48.45 and Quinn Literland took bronze in 48.90.
Team BC Special Olympics athletes had a great day as Michael Savage won the men's 200m Dash in 24.50 and team mate Daniel Batson took silver in 25.41. Abigale Calvert took bronze in the women's 200m special olympics event in 33.88.
Sedrick Skabar added another medal winning silver in the men's 200m Dash wheel chair event in 37.00.
