Team BC wheelchair basketball gears up for a tough Team Saskatchewan meeting

“Sometimes you just can’t seem to find the net,” said head coach Marni Abbott after their double header day at the Duchess Park Secondary School venue for wheelchair basketball. Despite a comfortable 61-29 win over Team Manitoba earlier in the day, she felt that the team just hadn’t found their rhythm yet.
Going into the evening game against Team PEI, the team hoped that things would go better. However, at the half they found themselves down by 13 points and momentum in Team PEI’s favour. That didn’t phase Team BC though as they rallied back to tie the game with just over five minutes left in the fourth quarter, sending B.C. supporters into a frenzy. In the end, Team PEI pulled away and won 60-54.
Team BC plays a tough Saskatchewan team tonight, February 17th, at 7 p.m. at Duchess Park Secondary School.
