Team BC finishes in third place at 2025 Canada Games with 116 medals

A 49-medal performance in week two gave Team BC 116 total medals at the 2025 Canada Summer Games, including 43 gold medals, 32 silver, and 41 bronze. The only two provinces to earn more medals at the Games were Ontario with 175 and Quebec with 173.

British Columbia entered week two with 67 medals led by swimming, which compiled 19 gold and 45 total medals. In week two, wrestling led the way with 20 medals–18 of which were earned in a single day during individual competition on Saturday, August 23.
Wrestler Kai Pare (Williams Lake) won a pair of gold medals in her team and individual events to earn the place of flag bearer for the Closing Ceremony on Sunday, August 24.
In team competition, Team BC came away with gold in women’s rugby sevens, women’s box lacrosse, women’s softball, men’s baseball, men’s beach volleyball, women’s wrestling, and golf ; silver in men’s rugby sevens, men’s box lacrosse, and men’s wrestling; and bronze in women’s baseball, men’s soccer, men’s basketball, and tennis.
