Team BC falls to New Brunswick in women’s basketball

The Team BC women’s basketball team started with a strong first half against Team New Brunswick at the Duckworth Centre. The second half of the game was extremely close, however it was New Brunswick who was able to pull through with a 67-61 win.

“To prepare for our final game, I am going to make sure I am pumped up and have lots of energy. I am also going to make sure I am well rested and not tired. This will be the last game I will play representing my province and I want to make it our best game yet!”

“The most memorable part of the Games for me would be walking into the opening ceremonies. Everything was way bigger than I thought it was going to be, and this is where the Games became ‘real’ to me. I got to see all of the other athletes from other provinces and it was a once-in-a lifetime experience!”

The team is back in action on Thursday, August 3 at 15:00 CDT vs. Nova Scotia at the Duckworth Centre.
