Team BC shines with eight individual gold medals in the pool

It was another great day in the pool for Team BC on Aug. 15 as swimmers as collectively they brought in nine gold, 10 silver and seven bronze medals for a team total of 26 medals.

Stormy skies and the threat of rain didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of Team BC softball fans Saturday afternoon.  Chants of “we are BC” rang out as the game got underway at Syncrude Athletic Park. Pemble races to gold in Giant Slalom Para, Natalenko earns silver in Giant Slalom

Prince George’s Purden Ski Village was the site of the first Giant Slalom Para Female race in the Canada Winter Games’ Alpine skiing event on Monday and it turned out to be a golden opportunity for 14-year-old Mel Pemble. 

The Victoria skier raced her way to the top of the podium in her first contest of the 2015 Games.
