Rostam Turner takes gold in decathlon
Rostam Turner, a decathlon athlete from Kelowna B.C. Turner had seven personal bests during the Western Canada Summer Games in discus, pole vault, high jump, shot put, 110m hurdles, 100m and long jump and finished with a total of 7113 points and claiming the gold medal.

It was another beautiful day along the Snye for the Canoe/ Kayak competition as Anna Zhang (Vancouver) and Hana Ronayne (Pemberton) paddled their way to a bronze medal in the C-2 5000m in their inaugural multi-sport games.

Team BC men's basketball team defeated Alberta in today's semifinal game, with a final score of 86-41. The team looked confident and well-polished, a good sign heading into tomorrow's gold medal game at 11:00am.
