Amongst this year’s nominees for the Sport BC Athlete of the Year Awards were many who have attended the Canada Games or Western Canada Games as part of Team BC, with eight bringing home top honours.

The 2015 Canada Winter Games came to a close in Prince George and Team BC finished the Games earning 88 medals including 21 gold, 34 silver, and 33 bronze.

The 15-year-old defenseman from West Kelowna came into the 2015 Games with an ambitious goal of following in his older brother’s footsteps but B.C. came up short in a few key games, finishing sixth in the tournament.
