Today marks five hundred days until the opening of the 2015 Canada Winter Games in Prince George and the countdown clock continues to tick down

The 2015 Canada Games team has officially returned from Sherbooke and are excited, educated, and ready to take the lead as the next Official Host Society.

Team BC Active Youth Project donates more than 250 lbs. of clothing to Sherbrooke community organization and Lac-Megantic relief efforts

With the goal of fostering social responsibility and leaving a meaningful legacy in the host community of the 2013 Canada Summer Games, Team BC, in partnership with apparel provider Team Sales, has donated more than 250lbs of clothing to La Source-Soleil, an organization providing housing as well as community resources to support homeless and at-risk youth between the ages of 18-30 in Sherbrooke, QC.

Beyond athletic prowess however, the Games also see outstanding performances from selfless volunteers who go above and beyond, offering their time, expertise and, in this case their culinary skills, to support the country's finest young athletes in achieving their goals.


Team BC Recognizes Coaches

Team BC hosted a reception yesterday to thank all of the outstanding coaches who have dedicated their time to the Team BC program. The development of British Columbia's athletes relies on the commitement of coaches and staff alike. The 2013 Canada Summer Games have been a success for Team BC thus far with a total medal count of 27 as of August 8th.

TEAM BC WILL LEAVE ITS LEGACY IN KAMLOOPS

It started in Halifax with the Mitten Project at the 2011 Canada Winter Games and now in Kamloops at the upcoming Western Canada Summer Games, The ABC’s of Team BC Legacy Project will collect and donate new and gently used books for the children of Kamloops.

Team BC volleyball will play for bronze medal

Team BC took on Team Ontario in the semi final match up but were not able to take the win.  They will play for bronze on Saturday.

Third day of racing produced some strong results for Team BC  with two fourth place finishes.

Golfers in strong position after round 3

After round three, Team BC is sitting in second in the team standings behind Quebec.  Alicia Lau is the leader going in to the final round of individual play and Tristan Mandur is tied for third.

It was another bronze medal performance for Victoria’s Jay Lamoureux at Birds Hill Provincial Park Thursday in men’s cycling at the 2017 Canada Games.

Team BC and Team Ontario leave their tracks in Winnipeg

Team BC prevails in both games today and will face Team Ontario in the semi finals. 

Team BC welcomes West Coast weather and produces another 11 medals

Team BC got a taste of home with rain falling for much of the day in Winnipeg.  While tennis and canoe kayak were cancelled, Team BC continued play in all other sports with the swimmers tallying another 11 medals in the pool. 

Another two wins for Softball to remain undefeated

Team BC softball had two close and hard fought battles today against Team PEI and Team Manitobal but picked up two more wins to remain undefeated in the tournament.
