Team BC Alumni honoured with Athlete of the Year Awards
Amongst this year’s nominees for the Sport BC Athlete of the Year Awards were many who have attended the Canada Games or Western Canada Games as part of Team BC, with eight bringing home top honours.
Team BC finishes 2015 Canada Winter Games with 88 medals
The 2015 Canada Winter Games came to a close in Prince George and Team BC finished the Games earning 88 medals including 21 gold, 34 silver, and 33 bronze.
BC hockey battles best of the best in Canada Winter Games
Jake Harrison closed out his Canada Winter Games experience with a second-period goal for Team BC in its final match against Nova Scotia. The 15-year-old defenseman from West Kelowna came into the 2015 Games with an ambitious goal of following in his older brother’s footsteps but B.C. came up short in a few key games, finishing sixth in the tournament.
Double gold for Team BC in snowboard cross
Team BC dominates in snowboard cross with gold medals from hometown favourites Meryeta O’Dine and Evan Bichon and success across the board.
Final day of competition brings 12 medals for Team BC
Team BC finished its final day of competition in the 2015 Canada Winter Games on Saturday by winning another 12 medals including, two gold, six silver, and four bronze, bringing the host province’s total medal count to 88.
