It was a great end to the 2017 Canada Summer Games for BC’s female soccer team. Playing against the host Manitoba squad, BC turned in a stellar effort winning 3-0 to finish in fifth place.
The Team BC women’s basketball team had another tight game but fell to Team Nova Scotia 66-56 giving Team BC an eigth place finish in the tournament.
The women’s triathlon team showed their dominance today in the relay event with a gold medal performance.
Team BC was topped by Alberta 9-8 Thursday afternoon and finishes ninth in the Canada Games tournament.
Rhys Verner earned his second gold medal of the 2017 Canada Summer Games with a victory in the men’s mountain bike sprint.
Baseball was knocked out of the medal rounds this morning as they went down to Ontario by a score of 3-1.

It was a relatively quiet day at the Canada Games with many sports on a rest day, but the divers were in action and earned another three medals for Team BC.
