Swimming earned the first four medals of the 2022 Canada Summer Games for British Columbia as Team BC put together a successful string of performances on the first day of competition in Niagara.
Wrestler Rupinder Johal of Abbotsford led a Team BC contingent of 382 athletes, 87 coaches and managers, and 25 mission staff into the Opening Ceremony of the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games on Saturday.

Team BC has selected the Mission Staff who will support British Columbia’s athletes, coaches, and managers at the PEI 2023 Canada Winter Games February 18 – March 5, 2023.
The team will provide administrative, logistical, and performance preparation support for athletes and coaches attending the Games from August 6 to 21.
