BC Wrestling names 22 athletes to Team BC for the 2017 Canada Summer Games
With less than 50 days to go until the 2017 Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg, the BC Wrestling Association has named its men’s and women’s squads to Team BC.
The 11 male and 11 female athletes come from 14 BC communities.
“We plan to work hard this summer in order to showcase the talent that we have in our province,” said men’s coach John Pineda.
“We have an extremely talented group of women,” said women’s coach Danielle Lappage. “This is one of the most talented groups of high school women wrestlers that we have ever seen in this province. We have only the highest of expectations for them and don’t doubt that they will all shine at the games.”
