It was a great atmosphere in the Syncrude Wellness Centre gym tonight with to great teams going at it, in a se‎e-saw battle. BC came out on top in and epic five set volleyball match. The scores in the sets were 23-25, 25-19, 21-25, 25-20, 15-12.

Eli Risso (Kelowna) and Jordan Koslowsky (Abbotsford) shared their thoughts – post game.

Risso plays libero (defensive specialist) for the men’s team, had a great night with numerous key digs.

“It was a good atmosphere to play in. The crowd was really into it,” said Risso.  He went on to say  “we didn’t play our best tonight but guys stepped up and we pulled out the win.”

Koslowsk‎y who sets for the men’s team was instrumental in leading his team to victory tonight.

“It was an exciting game in that we didn’t have our best performance tonight,” Koslowski admitted.
“But guys stepped up and it showed our depth and character”

Both Risso and Koslowsky are enjoying the Western Canada Games so far and hope to get out and take in the full Games experience.
