Women’s rugby sevens closed out their preliminary round on top of their division, beating Nova Scotia 29-10 to remain undefeated at 3-0. Next up is the knockout round, which starts later today.
Mission Staff for Team BC had a chance to thank family of athletes on Tuesday morning with breakfast, trivia, and merchandise.
Soccer started with a bang for Team BC as they took down Saskatchewan 3-0 in front of a raucous crowd of supporters. The team is back in action tomorrow, facing off against Ontario at 4:30 p.m. NDT.
Team BC’s relay team of Colton Gonzales, Yiguo Song, Emilie Golinowski, and Kelly Choi took home gold to bring B.C.’s total to 7 gold and 10 total medals.

Ramon Siytangco struck gold in Special O 50m Breaststroke, giving Team BC a total six gold medals and nine total on Monday night alone.

Kelly Choi and Olivia Zhou won gold and silver, respectively, in Women’s 50m Freestyle while Sophie Wood won Women’s Para 100m Freestyle bronze and Ken Stroud continued his incredible games with a gold in Men’s Para 100m Freestyle.
Alberta (1-1) handed Team BC (2-1) their first loss of the Canada Games, coming away with a 4-2 victory. Next up for B.C. is a meeting with Saskatchewan on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. NDT.
Team BC men’s rugby sevens moved to 3-0 at the Canada Games, handing PEI (1-2) a 40-10 loss to close out the day. A match against Nova Scotia awaits British Columbia at 12:34 p.m. NDT.
Team BC’s hot start in women’s box lacrosse continued on Monday as the team picked up their third win, beating Quebec 10-2. B.C. will be back on the field on Tuesday for at 5:00 p.m. NDT.
Liam Chew won his first medal of the Canada Games with a gold in the 400m Individual Medley.
Naomi Mynott added a gold medal to her collection that already featured silver and bronze, dominating on her way to the top of the podium in the 400m Individual Medley.
Team BC (3-0) conceded its first points of the Canada Games but came away with the win nonetheless, beating New Brunswick 24-7 in their final game of the day.
Team BC (2-0) defeated hosts Newfoundland and Labrador (1-1) 39-0 to keep the good times going in St. John’s. They will be back in action at 6:04 p.m. NST against Prince Edward Island (1-0), who beat the Yukon 45-0 in their first match.
Team BC women’s basketball (0-2) fell to Ontario on Monday by a score of 71-49. The team will be back on the court against Quebec on Wednesday.

Team BC is on the board in Canoe Kayak as Veronica So raced to silver in the Women’s C1 1000m. So’s performance was one among a number of strong efforts from B.C. on Monday, with multiple of her teammates barely missing the podium.
