The ladies of Team BC curling took on Team Nunavut and North West Territories today in their first games of the competition.

Seven athletes from B.C.’s north combined for a total of 10 medals during week one of the 2015 Canada Winter Games, helping propel Team BC into third place in the medal standings, with a total of 41 at the mid-point of the Games. 

Team BC scores big in their 11-2 curling win over Team Saskatchewan to take bronze.

On the final day of week one, Team BC captured medals in alpine skiing, biathlon, curling and speed skating.  Team BC had 41 medals including 12 gold, 16 silver and 13 bronze.

Team BC curlers lose to Team Saskatchewan in a close game.  The team will try for bronze.

Team BC defeats Team Yukon and Team New Brunswick, increasing its win record to 3-0.  The team is gearing up to play Team Nova Scotia tomorrow.

Teal Harle and Elena Gaskell bring home gold, and Sofiane Gagnon a bronze, for Team BC in another successful day in freestyle skiing.
