Team BC sailed to success with four medal performances on the Lac Magog course this week. After five days on the water, Team BC hauled in a total of one gold, two silver and one bronze. Sailor Natalia Montemayor won BC's gold medal in the women's single handed radial after taking an unpassable lead in the initial days of competition. Two silver medals were claimed by Max Gallant in the male single laser and Lloyd Lyall and Ryan Wood in the men's double handed 29er respectively. Madison Innes and Sophie Papp captured the bronze in the women's double handed 29er.
Lead by coaches, Jennifer Braem, Stephen McBride, Tine Moberg-Parker, Team BC athletes performed well above expectation and continued to set the bar high.
Being a coastal province BC has always faired very well at the Canada Games and has produced many outstanding athletes who have gone on to represent Canada internationally.
