Alysson Marshall (Enderby) will lead Team BC into the Closing Ceremonies of the 2011 Canada Winter Games Sunday. Saturday she teamed up with
Rebecca Reid (Rossland),
Andrea Lee (Black Creek) and
Heather Mehain (Vernon) to win the relay and add another Gold medal to her medal haul of three Gold medals and one Silver medal at these Games.
"I'm very excited. It's definitely an honour and I'm proud to represent BC," exclaimed Marshall. "I had a great week and this just tops it off. I want to thank my support team and coaches. I couldn't have done it without them. Everything came together this week. This course really suits me."
Marshall is a former Team BC alumni who competed in the 2007 Canada Winter Games where she won one Gold and one Silver medal. She was 12th at the 2009 U23 World Championships and is a multi winner of the Premier's Athletic Award. With aspirations of becoming an Olympian, Marshall is on track to becoming one of Canada's premiere skiers.
