Team BC Seeking Mission Staff for 2021 Canada Summer Games

The BC Games Society is looking for energetic and experienced volunteers to become members of Team BC’s 2021 Canada Summer Games mission staff!

Every four years, British Columbia assembles a team of athletes, coaches, managers, and mission staff to represent the province at Canada's premiere multi-sport events – the Canada Winter Games and Canada Summer Games. The 2021 Canada Summer Games will bring together over 3,600 athletes, coaches, managers, and officials from every province and territory in Canada. Team BC athletes and coaches are the best in their age group and the Canada Games are a key development opportunity toward future national and international competitions. Mission staff play an integral role in shaping the experience of Team BC’s 500 coaches, managers, and athletes and preparing them to compete at their best at this important multi-sport competition.

Team BC is seeking individuals who possess strong communication and administration skills; thorough knowledge of BC’s amateur sport system; interest in and enthusiasm for working in a fast paced multi-sport environment; ability to operate independently and in a team atmosphere; ability to perform functions and duties outside of your assignment; strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to provide excellent service to the assigned sports. While ideal candidates will have experience as an administrator, athlete, or coach at a multi-sport Games, all candidates with a proven track record in sport at the provincial or national level and a strong commitment to supporting Team BC’s athletes are encouraged to apply.

To learn more about the available mission staff positions and to apply, please visit https://teambc.org/About-Us/Mission-Staff/Mission-Staff-Application. The submission deadline is Friday, June 26, 2020 at 4:00 PM PST.
