Courtney is a member of our Sport Mission Staff team working with both Figure Skating and Artistic Gymnastics for the 2019 Canada Games in Red Deer. Courtney has a theme for travelling and exploring and we truly enjoy her curious energy! As one of the rookies on Team BC this year, we are pleased to introduce you to the one and only – Courtney Lott.
Why did you join Team BC Mission Staff?
To become more involved in the sporting community, meet new people and experience new things. (Courtney is truly our idol – GOALS)
What advice do you have for Team BC athletes heading to Red Deer?
To soak in everything that is happening and to have fun!
Courtney’s background in both figure skating and softball led her into a career in sport. After volunteering at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, she knew she wanted to be further involved.
- Favourite Colour - Purple (it’s a good choice)
- Favourite Food - Pickles (interesting…)
- Favourite Sports Team - Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir (now there is a winning answer – FINALLY)
- What was the first concert you attended - Hilary Duff (not afraid to admit I am jealous...)
- What is your most used emoji - Two pink hearts
For the past four years, she has worked for Skate Canada British Columbia/Yukon as the Communications and Coaching Coordinator. In this position, Courtney has had the privilege of being involved in multiple Provincial, National, and International Competitions and she is now excited to be a part of the BC Mission Staff team for the 2019 Canada Winter Games. Outside of sport, Courtney has a passion for travelling.
When you’re not working, how do you spend your free time?
Drinking tea and researching new places to travel to! (like Red Deer?)
In the past, she has lived in both Xalapa, Mexico as well as in Madrid, Spain and will be heading to Australia in a few months. (GOALS)
What movie or TV show title best describes your week?
The Holiday – just came back from a staycation in Vancouver! (GOALS – honestly, lets trade places)
Court – we are so pleased to have you on Team BC and we know your teams will be well looked after – get ready for a wonderful travel adventure in Red Deer!
