On winning bronze
"I was so stressed about getting a medal. I was training all year for that medal.  In all my training and camps – all I’ve been thinking about is medaling.  I can’t describe the feeling  - it’s indescribable.  I’ve been racing so long, you just have to have the confidence that you are going to win. Lining up against these guys, I was like - I’m going to win this.”

Cassidy MacPherson Maple Ridge
Kayak, Women’s K1 1000m 5th place
On making A Finals in a very competitive field
"It was a goal of mine coming here.  It's really nice to know I achieved that.  Once I achieve my goal I can now aim higher, getting a fourth in a future final would be great."
