Fourth place finishes for Team BC synchronized swimmers
By Jennifer Scott, Team BC Mission Staff
Four was the the magic number for Team BC’s synchronized swimming squad at the Prince George Aquatic Centre today. The two duets and team swam to fourth place finishes in their respective competitions.
In the duet B finals Stefanie Dickinson (North Vancouver) and Katie Stirrat (Vancouver) swam a great performance, followed by another strong performance from Katrina Hohensee (Kamloops) and Sarah Jones (Victoria) in the duets A finals. Both teams were pleased with the fourth place finishes and carried that energy to the team final later that evening.
The team performed their Batman-themed routine to the delight of the hometown crowd. The homage to Gotham’s caped crusader was a fan favourite and earned some of the best results in recent Team BC history. Athletes and coaches were pleased with the results and proud they are closing in on a podium finish.
The soloist take to the pool for the last competition tomorrow morning with Luiza Vasylyeva (Victoria) competing in the B final and Hohensee representing Team BC in the A final.
