CanoeKayak BC selects 16 athletes to Team BC for Western Canada Summer Games

CanoeKayak BC is proud to announce the canoe and kayak athletes who will be representing Team BC at the Western Canada Summer Games which will be held in Wood Buffalo, Alberta from August 6-11.

The athletes were selected based on the 2015 Team BC Western Canada Summer Games selection criteria following the trials held on May 24 in Burnaby.

“I am excited with the composition of the team. We have an excellent mix of veterans, including Alex Brent (competed at the 2014 Junior World Championships and Youth Olympic Games) and Zach Morgan (member of the Senior National Development Team) and a number of talented rookies, such as Hana Ronayne and Lauryn Cheung. We also have great coaching group. Overall, I anticipate it to be a great Games!”
Blake Dalton, Provincial Coach

“I look forward to representing British Columbia and building synergy with the other Team BC athletes. It will be an exciting Games and I hope to contribute to the medal count.”
Alex Brent, Ridge Canoe and Kayak Club
