Team BC Gymnasts ready for competition

Our 12 gymnasts worked hard on perfecting their routines at today’s training sessions in preparation for competition which will begin tomorrow. They also attracted quite an audience including athletes from other sports as well as members of the public who could not help but stop and stare at the skills our athletes can do. Despite coming from nine different clubs, our gymnasts have been working very well together as a team. Dawson Friesen (Twisters) and Darby McIntyre (Duncan Dynamics) have taken on leadership roles within the men’s and women’s teams, respectively, helping their teammates to stay on track as well as enjoy the events and atmosphere of a multi-sport event. The Men’s Team and All Around Competition is at 2:00pm tomorrow at MacDonald Island Park.
