Women battle to a split on day two!

The BC women’s volleyball team ‎started the day off with a battle with Team Alberta. The teams have a history, having met twice before the games and split both match ups.

Both provinces have deep roots in volleyball and produce some of the best players in Canada. The two squads went toe to toe Friday afternoon in a five set match. Team BC took the first set 25-18, team Alberta countered with the same score in the second set. BC took the third set 25-21 before Alberta answered back in the 4th with a 25-15 victory. Both teams fought hard in the 5th set but Alberta was the better of the two today winning in a tight set 15-12. There is a possibility these two teams will meet in the finals.

Team BC squared off against Saskatchewan in the evening featured game‎. Team Sask put up a good fight but the Team BC came out with the victory in 3-0 ( 25-17, 25-23, 25-18)

Team BC girls will face off against Manitoba Saturday at 11:00 am to wrap up the round robin. Semi finals are schedule for later on in the day at 4:45pm and 6:30pm.
